In today’s complex cloud computing environments teams need to automate the management and provisioning of their infrastructure. The only way to accomplish this objective is to treat your infrastructure as code (IaC).

Terraform has become the de facto standard for provisioning infrastructure in all of the major cloud environments. Terraform is an excellent IaC tool but writing your infrastructure for AWS does not necessarily mean you can provision the same infrastructure in GCP or Azure. Moving from one cloud provider to another usually means rewriting your Terraform code. Sometimes it makes sense to utilize the IaC tool specific to your team’s cloud platform.

The presentation will discuss the following topics:

1. What is Infrastructure As Code (Iac) and why do we need it ?
2. What tools do we have in the market to accomplish IaC ?
3. What is Terraform ?
4. What is Bicep ?
5. Difference between Bicep and Terraform
6. Help you understand which tool is fit for your organization ?
7. How to start using these tools and get familiar with various commands.

People interested in working in DevOps need to understand IaC and be proficient in at least one of the IaC languages.

This presentation will provide the attendee with information to learn these technologies and how to gain the skills to become proficient in them.

Presenter Bio: Krishna Vamshi is a DevOps engineer with 10+ years experience working in Insurance, Sales, e-Commerce, Automotive, and currently in Education.
